The Long Island Gaels F.C. was founded in 2005. We have multiple Minor Teams and a Senior team for Gaelic Football. Minor players are girls and boys.
Our Mission is to introduce players to the sport of Gaelic Football on Long Island. To participate in a sport that has been played in Ireland since 1884, following the GAA rules. Players can be male or female in the Minor Division and male players for the Senior division. Experience your Irish Heritage through sport.
Saturday, June 24th: Foundation Coaches Course at the Aisling Irish Center. The Aisling Center is located at 990 McLean Ave in Yonkers. The course will start at 9am and finish at approximately 2pm. This is great opportunity for any parents who wish to take on a greater role with the club. There is no fee for this course. Please contact Alice Browne at Aliceb420@aol.com if you are interested.
Thursday, June 29th at 7:30: Adult get together at the Olde Trading Post in New Hyde Park. OTP is a newly opened restaurant/bar and is owned by John and Breda Murnane who are long time members and supporters of our Club. OTP is located at 1218 Jericho Tpke in New Hyde Park.
Saturday, July 15th: We are looking to participate in the Philadelphia Liberty Bell Tournament with a u12 team on in Malvern, PA. If any of you are interested in joining us in this tournament, please contact Alice at firstname.lastname@example.org so we can register a team. July 18th and 19th from 6 - 8pm: We are excited to be hosting our Annual Cul Camp in Point Lookout. This is always a fun time and a great opportunity for our experienced players to enhance their skills and for new children to be introduced to the game.
